already flipping

So I just got my YM blue dial, and although it's beautiful, I'm not satisfied with it. i wear a 42mm Explorer II and a Sub LV mostly, and the YM feels small compared to my other 2 main watches. I've worn it all week and don't think I can get over it. So, I'm looking at either a Sub-C no date or an older GMT coke (no lug holes). Does anybody know if this older style GMT wears small like the YM?

Isn't the Sub LV and the YM the same size? I know it's not as chunky, but the numbers are the same, yes?

they are both 40mm, maybe because the lugs are chunkier on the Sub and also the YM has curved lugs.

I have the blue YM as well. It's a keeper for me. The bezel does make the blue YM wear smaller than the sub, but that's not a bad thing. The YM is possibly the most comfortable watch I own.

I have both and to me, SubC wears bigger due to thicker lugs.

I never owned either, but I'm almost positive the 5 digit reference GmT will wear more like your YM. Additionally the 6 digit gmt may wear somewhere in between the YM and the LV. The case shape is slightly different, thinner and lighter.

I was afraid the GMT would still feel smaller. I think the bezel on the YM also makes it look smaller.

The YM together with the ExpII and LV sounds like a killer trio! Nice dial variations and the YM is just a great looking watch. I've seen a picture somewhere with a blue dial YM on a great leather strap and that made it look very nice!

I can understand it looks a bit small compared to the ExpII, but maybe if you have it a little longer and wear it for a longer time, it grows on you. You just got it like a week ago right?

I tried on the older GMT and it does wear smaller than the current GMT IIc. The sub c does wear a bit bigger than gmt II c.

I'd give it a bit more time. The Exp2 wears larger than the Subc and you got used to that difference so should be able to on the YM as difference is marginal. GMT will be the same size, GMTc more like the subc.

Good advise. Maybe I should wear it a bit longer before dumping it. What's funny is I wore a 36mm DJ for 16 years before jumping to the Explorer II.
