Hi everyone, looking at this 5513 5.1m serial. Let me know if you see anything that doesn't look right. Thanks!

The bezel insert and the bracelet looks like they are service replacements.

I saw the real watch today and condition seems good with RSC paper. What I m a little skeptical about is the fact that it has a Serif dial, which according to http://www.5513mattedial.com/Serifs.html should be non-serif for this serial. FWIW, it's a 5.0M serial. Can someone shed some light on this?

That is the correct serif dial, which belongs to the 2.9-3 mil serial range. It's the first type of "feet first" dial. However, that dial is not correct for this 5.1 mil serial watch.
Your watch should have what is referred to as a Maxi- pre-Comex dial. You can tell by the larger lume dots and the = is right on top of the A. The bezel insert, as pointed out earlier, is not correct for your watch either. This insert came on the later 5513-5512 (78-84 or so) You'd need a MK 3 serif insert. |
