Bezel Ring Mod

Where can I find a bezel ring for the submariner (non ceramic) in different styles? Is there a smooth one out there, or something like the tudor that has more flat ridges? thanks

Why the heck would you do that? Completely ruin the watch? Just buy a different watch

You mean the insert or the bezel assembly?

Pretty confident based on his description that he's not referring to the insert...isn't that obvious? The insert is already smooth and Tudor doesn't make a flat ridge insert...

It really makes no sense to do this. That's like putting some continental tires you bought from Walmart on a Ferrari. Just doesn't make sense

Continental actually makes some great tires, they just don't focus on performance tires. I think Cooper tires is a better analogy.

Ferraris typically come with Pirelli, Bridgestone, toyo, or Michelin. Not continental tires from Walmart

Yup, and as I just mentioned.... You found 1 example. And they "typically" do not come as such. https://answers.yahoo.com/question/i...9160542AAloVie

Anyone can provide money for a sponsorship

You're also reading awkwardly too far into this. I said "continental tires from
Walmart" which is certainly not how your Ferrari in the link won the race. Are you suggesting putting a smooth bezel on a submariner is a good idea? Or just trying to be cute?

Bezel Ring Mod

Keep the ceramic! It wouldn't look right with that type of bezel in my opinion. Please don't take this the wrong way, I just wouldn't put a fake/aftermarket bezel on your authentic Rolex. You wouldn't want to change the appearance to the point where it looks fake. But hey, it's your watch... I am a vintage guy so all original/unpolished means a lot to me.

I understand the reason behind wanting to Frankenstein your own watch, but at least use real parts...That's just my opinion! I do think there are some cool mods out there, mainly the very simple small mods like hand/ bracelet/ date wheels, etc...😬👍🏼

I'm just grinding your gears
I agree, smooth bezel on a Sub would just be dumb
I couldn't resist, that's all

Back OT - aftermarket bezels can be made but that would definitely affect how the rotating feature works since your fingers would slip on a domed bezel (smooth). Also, often these aftermarket bezels have poor fitment that can cause them to fly off.
