Brushed center links or Shiny center links??
The question is...Will rolex offer brushed center links to all of their watches soon? or forget it it will never happen again?. I'm always a fun of brushed center links especially the oyster. Some people likes the shiny center links too but some have to suck it because they don't have a choice.

I doubt Rolex will change that, but i wont buy a watch with polished center links, the c bezel is already to shinny.

Mate...the polished center links have been around for decades...
Either way...dont see a big problem since rolex has dozens of watches to suit thousands of individual preferences. In any event, someone could suck it or they could just brush the polished center links if it really bothered them thatmuch. |

PCLs are here to stay. I'd be surprised if a choice was ever given.

I think PCLs look great on all models but I personally prefer brushed for practical reasons.

As for me, I like the way Rolex presents their product and enjoy them as they are.

You could always use the' scotchbrite' pad on the pcl .
It is easily reversable |

I voted leave Rolex it as it is, but if you want to have them brushed. It's all about what you like not the trends or what other people think is right. IMHO

Personally I don't like those shiny center links, looks cheapo to me, but if it's made by Rolex I'll just suck it and buy it, just trying to be honest to myself.

I love the pcl and always admire them at one point I was thinking of getting my centres polished on my sub, however I wear it all day every day and so decided the brushed braclet is better wearing for me

What was Rolex thinking when they decided to put shiny middle links on their classic oyster bracelets? well not all but majority of them now are...to each his own I guess.

I don't see what the big deal is.......Get them brushed if you don't like them.

I have 4 Rolex and all of them have PCL's. I'm fine with them just the way they are.

Different strokes for different folks. PCLs have their place as much as brushed in my opinion

No. Yes. Forget it. Yes. As in other areas of life, some must suck it. Or...if you don't want to suck it...have a watchmaker brush out your PCLs. |

When they came out with that shiny bling-bling link, most of the rolex purest aren't happy at all and yes I for one have to suck it.

Rolex aren't going to change any time soon but I actually quite like both of them.
I have a BLNR with PCL's which I think looks great. I like having the two different types in my collection

explorerIIF7 by VIPGraphX, on Flickr exp polished 1 by VIPGraphX, on Flickr I like both ways….to each his own but I think I prefer polished if I had to choose only one. |

I do like the look of PCL's when they are new however don't like how easily they show scratches. I'm looking at buying a BLNR but was initially put off by the PCL's and prefer the glidelock clasp over the easylink, however have found out on this forum that the ceramic sub bracelet fits on the BLNR so hopefully this will be the same for other models where you can swap the bracelets over, just a shame Rolex wont sell bracelets on their own :(

PCL's are here to stay although I really do prefer brushed - I put a Sub C bracelet on my BLNR and now have both for the watch when I want a more formal option with the PCLs!

PCLs are fine if the polished area is 18K or platinum, but for me it doesn't make much conceptual or practical sense with a steel bracelet.
It's tolerable on some watches, but it's a tough feature to like with stainless. And for me, the new 116500 Daytona would have looked a lot better and more coherent if they'd gone back to brushed links and lugs. The sporty, high-constrast look of the dial and bezel doesn't go with the polished case and bracelet areas, and gives the watch a busy and inconsistent appearance. I find that the cons far outweigh the pros when it comes to polished steel links (and lugs). |
