Datejust dauphinois hands - DATES

I really like the dauphine hands I see on early model DJs - typically 1600-1601-1603

My question is WHEN (year) did Rolex stop selling DJs with dauphine hands?

I've seen models as late as 1966 with dauphine hands, but that's just what I've seen for sale Any background or comments on this is appreciated.

The picture you show above are called alpha hands not dauphine hands.

X2 and those hands are lume less so the dial has either been lumed or the hands aren't original.

Typically seen between 59-64ish I believe.

Please clarify so I can learn

Do you mean that markers and hands should both either be lumed or be lumeless... and this example has lumed markers and unlumed hands thus making it an unholy match

Yep that is what I meant.

We would need better pics to comment on whether the lume has been added or the hands changed.

They are different shaped hands altogether

Yes, looks like a mis-match. Here is a photo of my Air King
with lume less Alpha hands and lume less dial. The date of my
Air King is 1960.
