Icon20 Datejust F series good or bad deal?

Hi guys, so I am completely new to this but I have done a fair amount of research. Looking to buy a pre-owned, mint condition, Datejust F series (2004-2005 production) - it is two tone jubilee with the hidden clasp, white face, roman numerals. With all factory originals, box, papers, etc.

I was wondering whether you guys think $6,100 is a good deal for it, or am I over paying.

Also if anyone knows if there is any difference between that year datejust and lets say the current model datejust right now.

Thanks for all of your input in advance! Could really use some help!

I'd say that $6,100 is a fair deal. Considering that dealers will pay between $4700 - $5600 for one.

thanks for your help. Do you know if there is a big difference between a 2004-2005 F series and lets say a new one. Or it is the same watch just older?

I don't believe that there is any difference between a 2005 and a 2015 36mm datejust.

For around 6k-7k you could get a newer one with the engraved bezel that probably won't need serviced as soon.

Seems high for an F series. I agree that for that money, you should be able to find an M or later that has the engraved rehaut, and I think an upgraded bracelet (not positive about the bracelet). What is the reference number of the one you're looking at?

I think you can do better than 6100 for that year. Shop around a bit more.
