Congrats. Waiting for mine on my RG as well. Finally got all of the website issues sorted out with APSC for my watch registrations. Great folks there.

I just made a purchase on a J serial last month. On ur new site, there isn't any place you can input the address where the sticker can be shipped to. So I gave the APSC a call, Lindsay had informed me that AP will no longer be sending out stickers for the J, as the watch serial will be in AP database l. All you need to do is to take the watch to do a water testing before the two year warranty is up.
Does anyone has similar experience? |

So I just sent in my royal oak without being told to register my watch on the site by anyone. I got my watch back with a note that said while the 3rd year inspection was performed on my watch, they did not grant the warranty. I immediately called and they asked me to register online. After doing so, I called again and they said while they are granting the 3rd year I won't get a sticker in the mail. This seems weird to me what do you guys think?

Thx guys for confirming no sticker! Is there more reports on the requirement of a water resistance test? As my RO is still new it's no issue yet, but good to know just in case.
Btw, how many here does annual water resistance tests?

This seems silly to me. Why require you to send them your watch just so they can "activate" the third year warranty (which it should have anyway-if Omega can do 4 and Rolex can do 5)?
I hate other people handling my stuff (AD's and manufacturers included) and don't need someone fondling my new watch just so I can get a sticker. Seems dumb, but what do I know?

They require that you send in your piece to APSC before the two years warranty is up. I send in mine after a couple of months though. Not because I needed it, but I just want to get it over with lol.

Any Europeans here? Is it required to send the watch in for an additional year of warranty in Europe too? I just registered my Diver on their website...

As far as I know, you would have to send it in to authorize service center to do a water pressure test before the two year is up. Hope this help!

UK here and AP have told me too that the stickers are no more, and that the third year warranty will be granted automatically once you register the watch online. The pressure test is now not required, although you're still welcome to have it done if you want (!?!).
All seems a bit odd to me, but I'm assured I have the extra year now so all good. Really it's the least we should expect anyway with even five year warranties becoming more common. |
