SD 1665 with Service Parts?
Hi Guys,
Just looking for thoughts and comments on buying a 1665 with service parts. Service dial, hands, crystal, bezel and insert. Original case, case back, movement. Obviously a lot less than an all original, I was thinking it would make a great everyday watch. Recently serviced and pressure tested. Thoughts? |

SD 1665 with Service Parts?
Sorry, it's a service dial, so would it matter if it's on a 5.5M or 6.5M.
And definitely not a DRSD serial no. |

at the right price a great everyday. i love mine and it would lead me to be less concerned about damage if dial etc were service pieces. If in range of double red, you need to balance cost/cost to revert to original if you wanted.

Not sure what advice you're after...1665's are great on the wrist, that one would be an unbeatable beater. No risk of damaging a valuable dial and hands.
Is ist a good buy? Depends on the price. |

I wouldn't buy it, or one like it, but we all have different tastes and needs/requirements. I like vintage watches to be as close to all-original as possible, otherwise I'd buy a new one. It depends what you're into, really. It's a great watch, no doubt about it.

Thanks Vincent, I understand, I like all original for vintage. However I do have an original 1665 and I do like how these wear. I was thinking of using it as an everyday, probably selling my ND Sub C for this. |
