To me it looks very similar to the dj2 and I can't see myself wearing the jubilee bracelet. Maybe it's just an age thing, I don't know why people love the jubilee bracelet so much. I understand for women it looks like a bracelet, but for men I think oyster all the way!

Well to each their own, but try a jubilee, not only does it feel great on the wrist, it is so comfortable, you don't even know it is there. Try it and then 'give us your thoughts!

I'm going for the DJ41 with black dial with baton(stick) markers on a Jubilee bracelet when discounted prices start to appear here in the UK around September/October hopefully....

So here's my dilemma....
I think the SS Date-Just-II in the picture below is the sharpest watch I've ever seen.....Blue-Sticks & SMOOTH BEZEL is a must!
On top of that I'd like the option of using a SS Super Jubilee Bracelet sometimes.
I don't think a Super-Jubilee fits on the DJ-2, so maybe the Date-Just-41 will have these features? (including an upgraded movement?)

I've been reading the SIZE of the DJ-2 & DJ-41 are DIFFERENT?

I love the TT with the Jubilee..I'd be happy to have the Oyster bracelet personally to get the usefulness of the Easylink. It's truly a great benefit to be able to easily adjust the bracelet twice a day as i do. Great pics! You've really shown up the gold well.

Yes, tho both are 41, the bezel and hour markers are slimmer so the watch has more of a 40mm feel.

I prefer the looks of the hidden clasp ofc, but as with the DDs, for the sake of adjustability the new clasp is a good move.

I know lots of folks are unhappy with the clasp and think it looks out of place on the Jubilee. Be reminded that prior to the introduction of the Super Jubilee with hidden clasp the DJ came with a folding clasp. So, I have to disagree that it "looks out of place".

Don't get me wrong, I love my new 36mm DJ and am a real advocate for its hidden clasp. I also wish the new 41mm had it. For me it's not a deal breaker however. I would welcome the easylink adjustability. In a perfect Rolex world the Super Jubilee would come with an adjustment feature built into the hidden clasp. But, currently the world isn't perfect.

Love it. Thanks for posting the pics. I'm alone in loving the new clasp. Jubilees had clasps similar to this for a long time. The hidden clasp always seemed to "dainty" to me. And though kinda, sorta dressy, DJs are still sport watches..

Neil, that's an interesting comment regarding the clasp. I really need to see this piece before I can make judgement. I agree the more adjustment the better IMO

Very nice, classic. Much like the one my father had when I was young.

RE: clasp. I like it. Never liked the hidden clasp. Looks like a woman's bracelet.

The whole proportion thing on the Datejust 2 is interesting. I agree that it can look thick in some parts off the wrist, but on a big wrist, the proportions and watch look great. I think it was harder to pull off the DJ2 on a smaller wrist, or even mid-sized, and this is where the DJ 41 shines. It is more subtle, so might work better on the more average wrist size. Just my two cents. By the way, I agree the blue stick DJ2 is a stunner

After wearing a DJ with a Jubilee with a clasp for many years it looks pretty familiar to me. The super jubilee is 'pretty' but the adjustability that comes with the clasp on my GMT IIc is so very useful I'd be very happy to see it on the DJ41 Jubilee. I use it often on the GMT. Very functional. Besides the clasp is really not that visible and no one really focuses on the clasp anyway.
