FS: Rolex 5513 Mk V Maxi Late Serial Matte Dial w/ Fat Font Insert Head-Only

Up for sale is a late serial Rolex 5513 Maxi Mk V, serial 8,154,XXX from 1983. This would make it one of the last matte dials before transitioning to glossy dials. The hacking 1520 movement winds and keeps excellent time. The case lugs are strong with the remains of of light bevels that can be seen under careful inspection. The crown guards are thick and even and the matte Mk 5 Maxi dial is very nice, with a light and pleasant patina. The dial has an interesting fade developing around the outer edges of the dial, quite appealing IMHO. The bezel rotates and functions as it should and the fat font insert is in excellent condition with the remains of the tritium pearl present. Just returned from ABC where it received an OEM T-19 crystal reshaped to a dome (do some Google searching on this, as it's quite popular), new gaskets and was pressure tested. Head-only, but I will provide an almost new Hodinkee Distressed Beige Leather NATO Watch Strap ($140 MSRP). This is a rare and desirable late matte Maxi, only selling to fund another grail.
