I like Subs with suits, even the Hulk, but the colors of the Hulk clash badly with a lot of the shirts in some of these pics. When in doubt, don't do it!

In my opinion, a Submariner pairs nicely with a suit.
But, to be honest, if I had the coin I'd rather wear a Lange UP-Down Flyback. Some would say even the Lange isn't apporpiate; Who cares..we're grown men and we wear what we want to lol |

I generally prefer to wear a "dress" watch with a suit but have worn a Sub and a GMT many times.
Mainly when on the road and did not want to pack more than one watch. I traded off my "dress" watch recently so currently without one. Been looking for a vintage Day Date 1803 in YG to wear on straps. Many would argue that a DD in not a true dress watch but it will work for me. I do not wear suits as much as I use to and I rarely attend events where a proper dress watch is needed. On the road tomorrow and Friday and will be wearing suits. I think I am going to sport my vintage gilt Sub on a strap for the trip. The thinner case and profile of the vintage Subs looks quite nice dressed up. Here are some crappy phone pics of sport watches with suits. Photobucket is down....

I've worn my SD with a suit plenty of times, but I am starting to realize that just because I can doesn't necessarily mean I should.
The knurled-up bezel, the big lugs and the overall chunkiness of the divers just doesn't mesh well with the clean lines of a suit, IMHO. Add a French cuff and some links and the look just gets way too busy for me. But I get it. You've spent a decent change on your watch, aint nobody telling you when, where and how you can wear it, even when you know it doesn't go. Justify it how you want to, there are no rules in this game. Heck, rock an Invicta with a tux if that's what you fancy - you'll get weird looks but no one can argue if you rock it with confidence. |

yeah, it has a very 'scuba'd to the event with your dinner suit on underneath your wet-suit' look about it

I don't see why not. I wear a suit probably twice a week on average and usually rock either my Speedy pro or Smurfmariner...

Currently wearing a bronze Diver with a suit, sure works for me. Never had an issue with Rolex sport models either

Simple wear what you own and enjoy. There is no right answer. Whatever you feel comfortable wearing is the right choice

Sub with a suit is perfect. Look at the movie Goldfinger where Sean Connery is wearing a "black tie" tux [white dinner jacket] with his Nato equipped old Sub. Looks incredible!
Sean started Rolex fever for a lot of us and I , for one. am glad he did. Your Hulk looks fantastic too. |

I think sub and suits is completely fine. It brings a more modern approach to wearing a suit which i think hold more of a style statement than going traditional. Especially for a younger age person.

Looks okay, like Dave, I prefer the Daytona or another smooth non rotating bezel variation. The bezel and crown on a sub wears the shirt cuff to pieces on daily usage. That is why I seldom wear one.

In reality nobody really cares what we are wearing below cuffs.
I have seen CEOs wearing Timex and taxi drivers with AP ROO ( at least here in Singapore). Anyway we all love to see so many subs with suits so please keep sending more photos. DSSD and Gmt are also welcome. :D Cheers Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk |

SubC will work fine as long as it's not a hulk, UNLESS you are wearing a green shirt or tie (or suit for that matter lol)

I think if you're the type of guy that hits the gym and has an athletic shape with decent low bodyfat levels, a sports watch with suit will work.
If you're a pencil neck with tiny wrists a dress watch on leather is for you.

Nothing wrong with it. As long as it can fit under the shirt cuff it looks fine to me
