First was an 114060, love it. Decided I wanted a little color, added 116610LV. Easy decision, I know I love wearing a sub.

My first was my Omega SMP Bond mainly because of the Bond series of movies.
After I got it (I still have it as pictured above), I listened to others and participated in the forum and decided I wanted a Rolex (representing the true Bond watch). The OP ticked off my boxes of modern, Rolex, engraved rehaut, and affordability. Owning a Harley this seemed like a natural. It was traded in on a 114060 which was a mistake. Eventually I replaced it with my all black one eventually which is staying. |

These were my first two. The one on the left was the first; the one on the right was my second. I just liked the look of the DJ at the time.

First watch was the Explorer. I really enjoyed that watch, but it was my second (but sensible) choice at the time. I made myself believe that I really needed a Submariner. After all, how can you go wrong with a Sub? Well, that was a mistake. I partly blame TRF for that
Long story short, the Sub will have to go, Explorer never really left my wrist, still searching for that perfect addition. |

Im going to start "How did you choose your 3rd high end watch"?
Choosing your second should be something that compliments your collection. If you get a Sub then i wouldn't get another driver. Probably go with a chrono or GMT next.

First nice watch was a GMT II. 25 years ago.
Next I bought an Omega Speedmaster. The fact that it was manual wind, chrono complication and exhibition back really appealed to me. Plus, always loved the history of the Speedy.

It was an easy decision: The second one is not like the first one. If you already have a sports watch, why get another one right away?
