Incoming!
While on our vacation to Canada this year. My wife and I decided to have my father in law pick out a watch. With budget in mind we took him to Watchfinder in Toronto which after standing there three different occasions with no help we left. After leaving quite furious I might add my wife said she saw a rolex sighn when she took the kids in Pottery Barn. So we walked on over to Royal De Versailles and didn't get one foot into the door before what I believe was the manager came to greet us. I believe his name was Tyler but I am horrible with names. After a few seconds of baseball chat we told him were there looking for a everyday wearer for my dad in law. Not to my surprise my father in law said no thank you and almost started crying.
This is where the story gets a bit better my wife and I had a back up plan. About a year ago my father in law hit hard times and wanted to sell his 16613 so me being a lover o watches asked if I could buy it. So we agreed on a price and the deal was done. The plan was for me to replace it and gift it back. So I told my father in law since he didn't want a new watch the only way I was gonna buy another was for him to accept his back. He was hesitant but with my wife and I there he had no choice. Lol At this point I started looking at the subs and chose a 116610LN. From pictures I totally dismissed the new jumbo cases. After having wore it all yesterday it is a good well proportioned piece. I hate to say this but I set here in the rented condo actually contemplating moving my 2 Tudors and growing up per say and go all Rolex. I have always loved Tudor but I am in a different spot in life and with the sale of those it will almost cover the new Sub. And this way the vacation isn't a big hit on the pocket book. And from now on I will buy 6 didget pieces. I will attach a nice pic I took this morning of my soon to be collection. Ps. After the sale of the Tudors I might try to get a new TT GMT. But please don't tell anyone. |

Is the DD the father in laws? Just guessing because of the age and bark.
