Exactly what I thought as soon as I saw the first picture.

I'd love a good condition birth-year Top Time, but one of these could knock that from the wanted list. It's a seriously lovely watch.

You can imagine my surprise when he got back to me and said that there was exactly 1 piece left in stock with Breitling and asked if I wanted it. Hell, yes! I wanted it!

Long story short, I got my hands on a watch that is truly special. Although Breitling has a name for big watches, this one feels great with 43mm and 14mm height. The in-house B01 with saphire back and 100m wr are the icing on the cake. In a time when I'm seeing a lot of love for vintage chronos, this seems to be a great way to enjoy that look with the perks of a modern piece.

Enough said. Here are some shots of the newcomer:

Still too soon to make a propoer review, but I can say it feels good to have a Breitling back in the collection.

Wow, that looks sharp and classy.

Very nice, although I wish there was a no-date version. I think the symmetry would be better without that cut-out in the dial, similar to this:

That Speedy is beautiful and I really like no date watches too.

In the Transocean chrono, I think the placement of the date at 4 o'clock, as well as the black date disk/black dial have made the date extremely unobtrusive, and it's always a nice feature to have on a watch.

That's another great little design detail this watch has. The lugs look especially great when is on a strap. I have to take some pictures of that combo. Thanks!
