Hacking Panerai movements
Another silly question.......................
Is it possible to hack the movement of a Panerai, specifically the P.9000 and P.2003, to stop the seconds hand at 12 o'clock? When setting my watches after a period of not wearing them, I like to set them to the exact time. Not a deal breaker but curious

Most non hacking movements can be stopped by gentle reverse winding pressure in the time setting position providing the movement has only been given enough power to just start it up.
Release the pressure when the second hand syncs, give it a full wind and sync the minute and hour hands.

The P.9000 movement hacks. Not sure about the P.2003. The website indicates the .2003 moment has a seconds reset feature which should mean that the second hand goes to the 12 o'clock position when the stem is pulled out.
