A Day Visiting ADs!

Well Guys/Gals,

I had a super day!! Spent it with my hubby... When all was said and done we'd visited FOUR ADs, with lunch and dinner thrown in there somewhere in between all of the watches

We weren't looking for anything in particular (or so I told him)...just 'browsing'. He tried on a beautiful Bucherer complicated chrono and was happy just to look....I, on the other hand, must have tried on about 7-8 watches! Ahhhh, I'm smiling just thinking of them...

The list included a Cartier Pasha Seatimer Chrono, Cartier Roadster, Chopard chrono (can't recall the model), and a GMT-IIC. I liked the Seatimer a lot, but the case is REALLY thick and the watch is quite heavy (case around 41mm)....big surprise to me was the GMT-IIC. I have to say that I wasn't crazy about this one when it first came out....but I've changed my mind!!! I REALLY liked it....looked fantastic on. What a sexy watch! Wowzas! Comfy too!

So many watches, so many watches!!!

All in all, the perfect day! If only every Saturday was like this.....

Sounds like a lot of fun to me!
I wish my husband would spend the day with me like that ever...

So, are you going to buy something or what?

Thats the sort of days shopping that I enjoy.
I hope to be doing the same in October.

What a day! I'm not big on shopping but when it comes to looking at watches, it just feels there is always not enough time to enjoy looking at them all.

Wow, Karis - what a great way to spend a Saturday .

I'm pleased that you liked the GMT IIc - does this mean that there's one potentially on the horizon to add to your beautiful collection?

I must admit, I hadn't paid the GMT much attention, until I saw mine in March (I had originally gone with the plan of getting an Sub TT or LV). Once I'd tried it on, that was it - deal done .

Hmmm, not sure yet Neil. I was thinking about a chrono of some sort but haven't seen anything yet that's knocked my socks off. That GMT II-C does catch my eye every time!

Sounds like a lot of fun. I have to say the GMTC has really grown on me too. Its a real beauty. Will we be seeing another thread with your recent purchase in the near future?
