Rubber B for Sub C- any regrets?

I know that this was discussed before but today I walked into the shop on singapore orchard road which sells Rubber B for Rolex.
I was contemplating buying one for my sub c but could not convice myself until I will ask owners for their opinion about wearability and value for money.

Are you guys happy with it and would you purchase it again for the same money or would you choose to keep it on bracelet , maybe for fun switch ocasionally for cheaper NATO and save the cash for something else?

I know this is subjective question but wanted to hear owners feedback before pulling the trigger.

I mostly wear my sub on bracelet occasionally changing for nato.

I'm interested in this as well because I love pictures of the navy Rubber B on a 16613.

I'm so tempted to pick one up but want to know others thought.

Hi from the red dot! :)

I have a few Rubber Bs, and for the Sub C, you have 2 types: the Tang buckle type, and the Glidelock type

For the Tang version, it's a love and hate relationship... if you can find the perfect hole, it's pure love.... if you can't.... well.... you would want to throw it away

But it is easier for swapping the bands

For the Glidelock version, you can get a perfect fit as on the bracelet... but swapping the Glidelock buckle out could be troublesome if you like to change your straps constantly (like I do :P)

I am happy with the quality overall... just my 2 cents

Get an Everest... No comparison in my opinion.

Looks great IMO, feels like its a solid strap, good quality and fit is very precise into the lugs. Almost too precise...getting the last part of one springbar in took me quite a bit of time over two days. Was a bit annoying to find a youtube video where some guy does it in seconds. I guess that is what practice will do.

Unfortunately, after all that work, I found I prefer the bracelet. The watch was comfortable on the strap; I have the tang version and didn't have issue with the hole sizing fortunately.

But at the end of the day, I gave it some time mainly because it was such a challenge to install it. Then found myself passing over my SD, my favorite all around watch...all because it was on a strap and I wanted bracelet. So, I switched back.

They aren't cheap, but if you are into wearing your Sub on a strap, it could be worthwhile. Just plan to deal with some frustration getting the thing on.

I think the lugs look quite thick on the strap so endlinks work better such as on the Daytona, but good for a fun change up.

Anyone I have talked to that put on a RubberB or a Everest ALL went back to the bracelet. So if you can drop a couple hundred on a band you might like and might use for a little while then I would do it.

Buy a yachtmaster with the oyster flex if you want a rubber strap,or leave it to Panerai.

I have a SubC and got the black RubberB and orange Everest straps (both the type that work with the glidelock clasp from the SubC).

I am very fickle with these straps. When I first got the RubberB about two years ago, I loved it and wore it for about 2 months. Then I grew bored with it and went back to the bracelet. At some point I decided to try the RubberB again and only kept it on for a few days before deciding that I simply like the watch better on its bracelet.

Earlier this year, I was looking for some color to mix it up and got the orange Everest strap. I left it on the watch for about a month and then grew bored of it and wanted the bracelet back on the watch. I'm still on the bracelet and have no real gravitation to the rubber straps at this point. I'll keep them for variety, but it is kind of a costly venture.

Everest!
Everest makes the better strap.
I once had 1 rubber b and 1 Everest.
I've bought 3 more Everest straps for other watches.

Everest makes the better product.
Softer.
A little wider.
More confident & more flexible.

I have a RubberB for my SubC and it fits great and makes that watch feel very sporty. I plan to buy an Everest strap in the future too.

Tried rubber on my sub but the 904L wins every time.

I'm interested in reading what people say. I love the Oyster bracelet on my Sub, but I have taken an interest in the RubberB or Everest straps.

Had mine for two years and literally have used it twice and for like two days only. It just can't replace the glide lock and sexy bracelet which I miss when I take it off! Wasn't worth it but if you can afford it it's nice to have the option.

When I had my SubC I tried nato and rubber. I prefer it on the standard bracelet.

I like watches and their original straps/bracelets.
I think these companies put a lot of thought into the final look of the watch.
There are exceptions and ultimately do what makes you happiest, but I think
there is something to be said for keeping a watch on its native strap/bracelet.

I switch back and forth on my Deepsea. It is probably the most comfortable strap I've ever owned. Now changing it often, is another story!

Very helpful response, thanks for posting. I'm so very tempted to try one, but I'm afraid I will discover the same thing you did. It's great for a few weeks and then you move on.

Thanks for all replies. Really appreciate sharing with us your experience.
I agree it is very tempting to drop the coin and buy one but it looks like most of users after while go back to bracelet anyway.

I also agree that due to weight it may be more practical to use it with DSSD but I am yet to own one.

My conclusion is that I rather stick to bancelet for now and save money for something else.

Not a sub, but my deep sea. I love my rubber b and almost always have it on my watch. It's the best.

I want my Daytona on rubber B all weekend & this morning I put on my sub c on Everest.

Everest makes a better strap. So much softer rubber b is like a hard plastic.

Also, fits the case flush UNLIKE oysterflex.

That's right. Bad fit oysterflex.
