We had nice weather yesterday, and you know what that means...

Great weather = Ariel Atom day!

My YM II came along for the ride.

Some of them...Most Atoms are built only for racing but if you are willing to jump through the hoops - and pay the extra money to make them street legal - you end up with a rocket you can drive on the streets.

There are only 2-3 Atoms in my state, less than 100 in the country that are street legal. Most people don't bother. I think that owning an Atom that you can only drive on a race track is a big waste. Nothing like a long drive through the mountains on a clear day or simply going from 0-60 in less than 3 seconds off a red light and seeing all the cars getting smaller and smaller on your side mirrors.

Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear said that there is nothing in 4 wheels that accelerates faster than an Atom, and that the car was "Driving Nirvana".

Over the years I've driven pretty awesome cars, including exotic cars like the Gallardo, R8, McLaren, the 458 Italia and a couple of awesome Aston Martins, and I can honestly say that Jeremy Clarkson was right, there is nothing like it.
