Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 2400.SO.OO.A002CA.01
Can anyone tell me some details on this AP 26400 watch please? Specifically about the AP movement and reliability, future servicing schedule and approximate service costs?
Also as it would cost me £17000, how well would this model retain its future value?

I believe that's a 26400 or 24600. It's the same movement as other current 44mm roo's or 42mm roo's with a different oscillating weight

At 17K you won't lose much on resale but how old is it? I'd only buy used if it is within the 2 or extended 3 year warranty. There are cheaper on chrono24. After that I think problems are pretty rare and servicing is only needed after 5/6 years.

It's brand new with stickers and full AP warranty with option for 3rd year.

Some issues reported here resulting in replacement of the chrono module. Seems AP takes care of it relatively quickly though. Future value is tough to predict. I would feel comfortable buying one for what it's worth |

Brand new for that price is a pretty good deal. Doesn't see that happening too often. Just have to make sure you are getting the one with the vertical brushed bezel not the older Matt bezel. I understand that some of the I series not having the newer version of vertical brushed lines on the bezel. As far as reliability goes, I would say not much problem been reported on this one particular model, except for the chronograph marker not returning to the 12 of clock position. Buy having that said, APSC shall be more than willing to have it rectify in just couple of weeks.
