UK vintage help please :).

So Iv had a few issues with my sisters Tudor, that's off for servicing because it wouldn't wind. And now something similar has happened to my 2 tone DJ !

A couple of months ago I went to the Caribbean and changed the time. Upon changing the time my crown and stem came out, when I put it back in it didn't work but with about 20 seconds of wiggling in and out it started ticking again. Came back to the uk and changed the time back no problem.

This week I changed the time (lost a couple of minutes) and it came out again but won't tick again. I was gonna put it in for a service but I see you guys say a lot not to go to Rolex because they replace a lot of original parts? I live in the north of the U.K. So any help would be nice.

Also my bracelet is very "stretched", I see somebody in Hong Kong mention on here a lot but would rather uk help? Also I couldn't find the HK guy in searches.

Thanks guys

EDIT:Spelling

Try Seth at www.thewatchdealer.co.uk - he's been enjoying a lot of praise for his work on Rolex bracelet restoration and could look after the service at the same time. Altogether a sound chap with whom I've done many tens of thousands of pounds worth of business, perhaps nearly £100k. He's down south but you'll find many will vouch for him.

Haywood

Don't know where abouts in the north you are, but The Watch Repair Company, in Old Eldon Square in Newcastle upon Tyne, do Rolex work and I have found Christopher Stoners of Harrogate to be very good.

Stan.

Here's the after

Can't remember exact cost - was about £250 ish inc the courier to get it out to HK

Here's the website I used to make contact. I initially sent over about 1/2 dozen pics before with instructions on what I was after. That was before I heard about Seth & him being based in UK. There was no issues & from start to finish approx 5/ 6 weeks

I second that Haywood sent a fair few various bracelets to be done included daydates president which are notorious for stretch. Great guy has a couple of watches at present. :D

I actually live near Harrogate. I'm guessing he can't do band restoration, just the service/fix?
