Swiss Army from Costco at $150. Black with black rubber strap. Extremely comfortable, won't scratch, easy to read, and indestructible. I wear it a lot when working in my shop or out in the woods.

Luminox for wearing at night. The tritium never fades.

However, it is always fun to dig a Rolex out of the safe.

Seiko 7548 quartz watches are great for when we are practicing and competing in racing shells. I never have to worry about scratches, water incursion, or whether it is time for queuing up for the next race start. I have a few for variety in dial colors and strap choices.

I own a bunch of Casio quartz watches and a couple of other European made quartzes which I haven't worn in years. They all need batteries which I haven't bothered to get. This is my newest quartz acquisition but I've only worn it once.

Luminox is my only non-Rolex watch. It's comfortable on a Velcro strap and if I tear it up, it's a couple of hundred dollars to replace should I choose to do so.

I have a citizen that my wife got me while we were dating about 9 years ago. It's engraved. She also bought me a wood watch for the "wood anniversary". I do not wear them often but they have sedimental value

I have some that I like a lot and would definitely wear, but the batteries are dead. I've decided that I will no longer buy any watches that need batteries - I will stick to mechanicals and solar watches. The last two times I've brought my watches in to have the batteries changed they've f'd up my watches. No more.

Yes daily. I work in a sometimes dusty environment with a lot of machinery. It cost me £40 (reduced from £80!) and it looks a lot better than it deserves to for that price. I've had it for a year now and will change the battery myself until it breaks, afterwhich I could smash it with a hammer and consider it £40 well spent.

Yep... Have an Omega Speedmaster X33 Gen 1, Gen 2 and Skywalker. Love them all. There are a number of other good Analog/Digital watches that are worth owning (Breiitlong Aerospace and Emergency come to mind). Any Oysterquartz lovers out there??

First really good watch I bought was a Heuer 2000 Professional back in 1985 before they became TAG-Heuer. I've still got it and a wear it from time to time out in the garden and doing light jobs around the house.

It's been a great watch. It still looks good and runs bang on.

Yes. The accuracy and lack of fuss is absolutely delightful, but you do give up some character. Quartz watches are engineering marvels...even the cheapest of the cheap ones. It's amazing that such a complex technology has been so democratized.
