Rolex Explorer purchasing advice

Hey guys. I've had my heart set on a Rolex Explorer 214270 for some time now. With the new iteration just being released I was quoted $6500 CAD all in with warranty on a never worn version of the previous 39mm iteration from my dad's dealer friend. I love both iterations but actually prefer the white gold numbers without lume to the new ones with lume and the shorter hands issue doesn't bother me. My question is do you think this is a good deal considering the new iteration is 7500 CAD before taxes?

Look in the for sale section & get one from a trusted seller. You will not be disappointed.

39MM EXP1 T-rex especially pre-owned can be had at a great value! Just picked up one myself.

As the seller is your Dad's dealer friend I am sure he would be trusted seller.
If you can't trust your friends who can you trust?
With a saving of $1000 sounds a good deal.

I have the previous Expo 39mm and a Sub-C and have found that the Expo 39mm is the more wearable for the majority of occasions.
It's an excellent all rounder!

Rolex Explorer purchasing advice

Yeah they're one of the big authorized dealers in the GTA. I would get warranty too and it's brand new. There are some great deals on the classifieds here but being that they are 1. USD 2. In the US 3. Pre owned and 4. With warranty issues I think I'm gonna go with my dad's friend who is a dealer. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Yes, it's a good deal
I also paid the exact same amount at a Vancouver AD last February 2016.

You won't be sorry if you get the Explorer. I own the current version and would not part with it for any reason.
In my mind it's the best all purpose Rolex. Good luck.

So..the new 214270 can be had for 7500 CAD, which puts it just under 6000 USD? I will have to find my way to Canada somehow..

I've decided to pull the trigger. Picking it up this weekend. Whoa. It's something I had my eye on for years. It's about to become reality. Whoa.
