Having recently aquired a DJ with the 1570 movement I am a little perplexed as to the microstellar screws....seems there are many more than the 30XX type movements.....so which ones are the actual "timing" adjustment screws, I have been searching all day for info but have come up with nothing pertaining to the 1570....only the 30XX series....which of course has just the four (two large/two small).....are there any resources for this info I have missed somewhere please?

Hi David, you're right about this balance wheel having a lot more screws!
There are only a few you can easily adjust though. I don't know where you would find that information, and it has been a while since I worked on one of those, but I do remember, that there are 2 regular little screws on the balance that you can adjust with a screwdriver (the 0.5mm), they're silver in color compared to the brass colored ones all away around. 90 degrees of those screws I believe are the 2 microstella screws.

Thanks both of you for the info....I did notice the two silver type screws and wondered about those.....but only the pair I think, not two pairs as in the later movements....no prob though.
I shall peruse your video Sheldon this lunchbreak.....and Vanessa I beleive our paths have crossed before in the Brietling forum....always helpfull........cheers maties.

Heavens no.... that is not me.... I came across the videos a little while back... I would like to be able to do what is depicted in the video someday.....

Hmm pretty chuffed tonight....still need to adjust my DJ 1570, but for the first time I put it on my MicroSet timer and it came up with 12 seconds fast a day (which I had already worked out roughly which is why I want to adjust it of course) but the stability...or instability is only 1 sec per day

Now that is outstanding, maybe I was wrong all these years
