Rolex Sub C running slow
Hello Rolex fans,
Has anyone else experienced timing issues with their 114070. I bought mine new in April and was running 5-8 secs slow. I returned it through the AD last week and was asked by the service manager if I has wound it up enough!! (Dooh, I never thought of that one.) They seemed reluctant to send it off to get regulated as it seemed too much trouble. Hopefully it will be sorted soon but was surprised by their poor customer after-sales care. |

I had the same problem at my AD I bought my watch from. Granted, I bought mine used, however when it was running around 9 seconds slow per day, the salesman tried to tell me "Rolex manufactures watches with a +10/-10 regulatory standard". I didn't argue, and took my watch to another dealer and had them regulate it. The other dealer laughed, but didn't guarantee anything when he took my watch. Now, for the last two months, it's been running between +2 and +3.5 seconds per day. Much better.

If it is a consistent 5-8 seconds, I would live with it until the first service. Especially if I couldn't just walk into an RSC and hand it over myself. |

2016 Sub C ND was consistently -6.5 seconds a day slow. Mayors, the AD, happily sent her in RSC and she came back about 5 weeks later and is now about +5 seconds... every two months. She's the daily beater, never taken off, and so yeah, guess i can live with that accuracy :)

To answer your question: I have not had any new watch in the last few years that far off the mark, regardless of model.
I wouldn't put up with that degree of accuracy...or that AD. |

I agree....this situation is unimaginably and completely unacceptable on every conceivable level.

My Hulk bought new April 2014 runs -2 seconds/day, pretty much consistent.
It is within spec, but I would prefer a bit fast over slow. |

My Sub runs at about +1 second/week. I don't think that's common though
