I own both the SubC and the 39mm Exp.
Explorer is more comfortable, but definitely looks bigger on the wrist! The lack of a bezel masks the fact that it is the smaller watch of the two. The SubC definitely looks and feels thicker though.

It took me a long time to warm up to the SubC. I still hate the cyclops, but I'm now used to ignoring it.
