Original Grain

My wife purchased a new Original Grain bourbon barrel watch for my birthday. I love nice watches, even the cheaper ones. I find this one unique and I love anything made of wood so...

They are made in the United States using Miyota Japanese quartz movements.
The case is solid stainless steel (very hefty). It has a mineral crystal glass cover and it's water resistant to 5 ATM.

The wood on this particular model comes from reclaimed whiskey casks from Kentucky.

All in all, it's a nice casual/dress watch.

Just thought I would share.

Fun piece. It may need a date magnifier though!

Yes, the date is a wee bit small. Fortunately I don't ever look to my watch for the date.

I checked, silly me. No, it's all sealed grain.

My brother is a big bourbon drinker and he bought a similar piece and it still had some smell.

Neat piece.
