Not fake, just aftermarket parts added to a 16610.

Franken = fake to me. Also, I didn't see it disclosed on the add that it was modified. So at best it's undisclosed Franken. At worst, it's fake. Either way, I wouldn't buy it. But I'd also not report it.

If you look at the description they claim "customized" for the bezel and dial, which to someone who does not know what they are doing it is unfortunate if they buy it. I agree with you... Whatever you call it - Fake or aftermarket- same thing.

Fake 16610LV
Custom crap and a poor job t25 dial come one. There is a difference between true aftermarket and fake, aftermarket has no trademarks on it. Adding a custom dial and bezel does not make a 16610 and lv

really a shame,i don't understand why do this unless it had problems in the past and they had to change out bezel, dial, crystal etc...
BUT,i'd glady take it if it was cheap, and then i would buy a new dial and bezel... if it's cheap and original, why not? |

Therein lies the problem. These frankens are never cheap. They take a well used/worn 16610 that would normally sell for +/- $4000-$4500, slap a fake dial and bezel in it, do a quick/dirty polish job, label it as "custom", and jack the price up +/- $1000. Then they sell the original dial and bezel as well. The problem is that there are plenty of uninformed/uneducated buyers out there that eventually buy such abominations. Sigh...

thing is,it's hard to pay this amount for a watch without any of the history behind it... it's not rare, nor special,or in good shape (as you can see from the crown on the clasp, probably polished 3-4 time already if it was a 2k watch,i'd def consider buying and wearing it proudly, but for this price? hell no. you are also right when you say they sell the original dial and bezel insert, and you can see this happens all the time with tt datejusts,day-dates and etc. |

It won't be accepted by RSC for servicing.
