Finally joined the AP Club
New black 15400 thanks to David SW. I spent a long time looking for a Grail watch to celebrate the year 2016. It was a significant wedding and work anniversary and I considered a lot of different watches.
I thought I wanted a DaytonaC since it was released this year but my AD is giving me the runaround.
I considered the 15202 but it was too small/thin (sorry purists).
I considered the 15300 but couldn't find one and didn't care for the non color matching date wheel if I didn't get white.
I considered the 5711 but still haven't been able to try one on, but luckily I didn't really like the similar sized 5726. Sadly the treatment I got at all the Patek dealers was off-putting. I mean, how important do I have to be to spend $25k on a stainless watch.
The closest runner up was the Aquanaut but I didn't like it on the bracelet. The 5167 on rubber may be my next piece but I figured for this much money, the watch ought to be a little flashy.
