AP finishing question
Is there a consistently observable improvement in finishing between the SS pieces vs the PM pieces? Pictures seem to support this.

Random internet photos. I've never handled either of these so owners chime in!

So in other words, in real life they're the same level?

I believe the level of finish on the movement is the same. In the examples that you posted the finish difference on the case is not a matter of quality of finish but a design choice.

Thank you for the input, greatly appreciated! I'm looking forward to visiting an AD soon to lay eyes on these. If money was no object I'd take both.

I think I understand what you're talking about. For me personally, the yellow gold bracelets really show off the brushed pattern of the bracelet and bezel a bit more than the stainless steel, but I don't believe that is due to quality of finishing. I think it's simply the material that is used.

Finishing is the for most part the same accross all my APs. The 15305OR seems to be the best finished but that could be because how much the movement adds to the watch. I've also handled tourbillons, grande comps, etc and while the movements have a higher level of finishing the cases, bezel, etc is all pretty similar.
