I think it has a very 70s vibe to it with the angled corners on the case, but I'd love to have one. A very attractive watch. The combination of quartz accuracy and Rolex quality is very appealing to me.

Timeless for sure, or I wouldn't have three of them.

Call it retro if you will but it's coming back in style. Glashutte sells lots of Sixties and Seventies.

IMHO the Rolex 5100 (the first Quartz Rolex) in white gold is one of the most beautiful/classy pieces they ever made. The bracelet on that thing is gorgeous!

I agree. And to me this beautiful bracelet is very reminiscent of the Royal Oak (I'm not sure which came first?)

x2

I think its 'timelessness' is in its now retroness. In the '80s and '90s, i think it would have been a bit of an odd ball -- but now that look is old enough to be considered classic in its own right.

Timeless !
But not classic as an Oyster Perpetual, more sporty.
(If you wait 30 years, the Oysterquartz is of course classical & sporty 😇)
Little Gérald Genta inspired.

I love the Oysterquartz bracelets !
Very Sporty !

They are just beaten flat/down President, Jubilee & Oyster bracelets.

70s Genta but that hasn't bothered the AP Royal Oak. Has to have the fluted bezel and Jubilee for me as the smooth bezel looks a bit plain and eccentuates the case too much.

Design Oysterquartz

Wish it was 39-40mm. Timeless. The 17014 I own does wear small on my wrist. If Rolex brought back the same lines in a larger case with an automatic movement it would sell today. Heck, I would buy it with an updated Rolex quartz movement.
