Please help me out! (rolex newbie needs your help!)

Good evening everyone!, I've recently received a Rolex from my close family member (my 71 years old uncle). However, I know nothing about Rolex or pertain any general information about Rolex. I want to know the model/name of this Rolex and most importantly if it's genuine or not. I figured there isn't a better place to ask about Rolex then here (where all the Rolex experts flow around). I really need your help and knowing the answer will put a ease on my heart. Thank You for your time and consideration. :)

PS. Anything you guys can mention about the watch will help me !!

Welcome! That's a nice looking datejust, any reason not to trust your uncle on the authenticity?

It looks good to me, but I am no expert. I'm sure the experts will arrive soon and help out

I'm no expert but id say fake,

Dimensions look strange, rehaut looks too deep, and the Rolex Crown Logo on the dial looks a different shape (the O in it isnt the right shape)

Magnification isn't quite 2.5 (but we no rolex had issues with this)

I also couldnt find a stick dial with roman numerals on the dial (does this exist?)

take the watch to a local/trusted watchsmith/Rolex AD to get it authenticated.

It looks legit though but you could still have the watch checked at a local AD

Wow, didn't even occur to me but rereading the initial post it doesn't quite pass the smell test.

Just bring it to a watchmaker. It's the ONLY true way to know.
That, and its against forum policy.

It's not an authentic Rolex.

If the story is to be believed, the first question to always ask is, is it likely that your 71 year old uncle is going to just "give" you a $25,000.00 watch. (it is stamped 18k gold)

If so, you have one great uncle.

However, in this case the whole thing is a bit fishy..

Thank you for letting me know!

First i want to say sorry if my post turned against the policy on this forum.
I didn't know whether it was fake or not so i wanted to take the time to ask you guys.
And those who mentions all these theories about my story, it's fine it may seem like an unusual story to those, but I guess there isn't a way to prove it without me snapping a picture with my uncle and posting it here haha. Anyways , even if it turned out to be not genuine, at least i can finally know that. Thanks you experts !

The pictures tell the tale. It is 100% fake. 2 out of the 3 pictures prove it

Just FYI, my stick dial DJ has Romans along the chapter ring.

Yeah that's a Folex. Rehaut is too thick, bracelet doesn't fit flush to watch head as it should, cyclops mag doesn't seem right, crown on dial is too close to the rehaut.

If it works and you like it then wear it but it doesn't seem like a genuine Rolex.
