It's just a sticker. A bar code from Rolex. Remove it and enjoy your watch. Congrats.

Yep, just another sticker to peel and toss...

But wouldn't it be really cool if it was a little etched tattoo on the case.....

It's a secret 'safe queen' sticker that tells us you haven't taken the plastic wrapping off.

To be accurate, it's a QR code (aka "smart code"), probably a "micro" QR code

If someone can post a clear sharp pic I will scan it and tell you what it really says!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_Code

PS. most new cell phones have the capability of "scanning" and deciphering... amazingly, they could contain up to 4,000+ characters! though this small one only about 35 charatcers (less than the new DSSD, he he)

It simply is a sign that your Rolex is the real deal and fresh from the factory.

Thanks Larry (Tools) for the enlarged pic. I have had mixed success "scanning" from my monitor... unfotunately pixel resolution of my phone-camera too low...

I think it is pointing me to a website (you would have to assume Rolex) but phoe won't play ball. I will need to print out a screen grab and scan the old-fashioned way. Probably just model no & serial no, but who knows what else!!!
