Gotta thank you for mentioning this, i'm also searching for a winder to keep in my safe that works off of batteries. One that can hold 4 - 6 watches for now. When i'm out just feels good knowing they are all locked away.

I'd highly recommend Orbita. I have two--the Siena (uses either batteries or A/C) and the Privee (batteries only). A little on the pricey side, but very well-made and versatile. Customer service is excellent. You can also get great deals through their Outlet Store.

I just got two of these from Costco.
Battery is rechargeable. Not too convenient for the safe deposit box. The price is $65, it almost disposable. |

Turns per Day on Winders
I have been looking at watchwinders. I read that a rolex day date needs 650tpd. some winders do 800tpd and 1100tpd. these are high end winders....will they overwind the watch causing stress on the overwind clutch and spring? what is the maximun tpd you can set?

No problems with over winding a Rolex, it can't be done. As for winders try Scatola del tempo. Mine runs for up to two years off one D size battery.
