Brexit and UK price increase

Sorry if this has already been discussed on here but I've just started looking at watches again after around a year or not being interested.
I've noticed on the used market that the prices have increased heavily because of the weak pound , I was shocked to see that they have increased more than the rate than the pound has dropped.
Last time i checked there had still been no UK price increase on new watches , surely if you can get your hands on a brand new Sports watch now there will be a good profit to be made ?

I was thinking of selling my GMT and a few months ago and pleased I didn't now, I know a friend of mine that offered me a 2011 steel daytona for £6600 in April , I might have to see if he's still selling it
