Daytona factory error or photoshopped?
I just came upon this interesting listing from a Chrono24 seller in Italy. Apparently someone is selling a Daytona ref. 116520 with the red Daytona word missing on the dial.
http://www.chrono24.com/en/rolex/rar...-id4974186.htm It looks too good to be true, especially for a modern day Rolex, since the dial production is in-house. |

Well, mistakes do happen, and somehow manage to worm their way through QC. In my time, I've seen an Air King with two applied "9" markers (no "3"), and I remember a member here who had a Milgauss with all the text shifted off-centre. So, in short, it's not beyond the realms of possibility

Highly suspicious. The word Cosmograph is sans serif and on the dial with the Daytona text, it's with serif. Would Rolex change that aspect of the font even if the error occurred with the Daytona text?
