Vintage Rolex date ref#1510 18K gold
I realize gold isn't at the top of many lists right now, but I've got my eye out for a relatively inexpensive gold Rolex and came across this guy. I am not familiar with this model at all, but I already know they will work with me on price. Any thoughts on this little guy?

nice looking watch and the dial is indeed unusual as most of those "cross hair" dials were seen on non date zephyrs in the 50's and 60's.
price wise it's anyone's guess as gold rolexes have been going up in value. i think it depends on what you personally like. that watch does come with provenance so it might be a good choice. |

I agree on price. He is willing to move on that - maybe not as low as I would like, but that remains to be seen. :)

very nice...too bad there was no bracelet to match the bezel. I think a darker brown strap would make it pop even more.
I bought a similar 1514 a few years ago (similar, but slightly different intricate bezel) for ~$3500 without papers. |
