Looking for advice on a watch winder
Greetings, I am looking for some advice on for the purchase of a watch winder. I would like to find one that is not too expensive, but would be safe to use on my Subby. Also does it matter if it is clockwise or counter clockwise. Thanks for any input. Don

I bought one for a reasonable price on Ebay because all of the ones I saw in the ADs were nice but super-expensive. How nice does it have to look if it sits in your safe? BTW if you do plan on keeping it in a safe, make sure you get one that works with batteries as well. Good luck.

hi,
i got mine from costco. it's been doing what it is supposed to be doing just fine, and it only costs $300. it can wind 4 watches at a time and has storage capacity of 6 more watches. it also has different setting (clockwise, counter and both). i 've been using it to wind 3 DJs, a sub, a seamaster, and GMT II. best of all, it's covered under costco's warranty, which is forever. anything goes wrong, take it back and get a new one. sam's club also carries a different brand, more pricey though. |

This afternoon I bought my first Rolex (yes, I am a newbie), and the AD wanted to sweeten the deal by throwing in a WW. He stated that it was worth $400. When it was time to close the deal, and he offered 10% off the MSRP (just like other ADs in the area) for the DJ, I had him instead take another $400 off and let him keep the WW. (Yes I am gloating.... sorry)
Do many ADs offer WW gratis with a purchase of a watch? |

I just bought a Eulix (spelling) on line and it was 154.00 shipping and all, got it in 3 days. It uses 2 c cell batts and has 3 settings, clockwise ,counterclockwise, and both. I have read that Rolex does not matter which direction it winds.

Brookstone offers a few for a fair price. I bought the 2 watch model at $150 because they stock it in the store. I should have spent the extra $50, and waited for the 4 watch model. The winder runs CW for an hour, rests for three hours, and then runs CCW for an hour, and repeats this cycle. The winder has an AC adapter, and storage for 3 watches.
