Calling all 116506 owners

So gents,

You own the best of the best as far as I'm concerned. Who still wants / already has the D500 as you just can't resist the ss version?

Anyone love the ss so much that they are / considering cashing out of platona?

I still haven't purchased a 116506 but the D500c isn't dissuading me. Very different watch IMO due to the Pt.

I have the 116500 and you'll see my 116506 in the for sale section.

Found myself wanting to wear the 116500 if I was in a Daytona mood and couldn't justify the platona money sitting on the winder.

Don't have a desire for the 500, though it is a beautiful piece. If I were buying another Daytona today it'd be the old style SS white dial, or TT blue dial. I have other SS models that I wear regularly, and very much enjoy. But, I'm wearing the Platona 80% of the time.

Gotta tell ya NOTHING BUT NOTHING beats wearing the Platona

I got the Daytona C and it is a great watch but not even close to the Platona (IMHO)

The Dr. had spoken, his Platona has probably more race track hours than any other in the world!

I love this trio and would like to own this very threesome. Do the new ones lessen your desire for the platinum one in any way? Let's hear your ranking

Are there two different dials for the Platona? Sometimes the blue looks darker than other times.

Platona dial has just one color. It looks different in different light. I have no desire to "cash out" of my grail watch.

Only one color but there is the anniversary one with the baguette dial, so yes there is more than 1 dial for it

The Platona is an incredible watch. That and the Smurf get the most wrist time. I'm still waiting to see the new Daytonas in person to make that decision. Actually, after a very recent visit to an AD in Alabama, I'm enamored by the white stick DJ2 (116300). I have the older SS white Daytona, so the ceramic version will have to really sing to me.
