Can I tighten this?
My bracelet is in fine condition and doesn't need service, but my fliplock just doesn't have much tightness left when closing or when it's closed. It has never come open on it's own, but there isn't much friction between the little outdents and the clasp. Is there an easy way to tighten this?
Man, these older clasps really aren't worthy of such an expensive timepiece. |

Use your thumb and index finger and squeeze the flip lock. See if it clicks shut tighter.
Do not use any tools! This is per advice from a well respected watchmaker. |

Any idea how much it would cost to get the new clasp that is used today? |

A ton of money if you can even find one. Not sure if it will even be compatible with old style bracelet.
