Rolex Magazine Issue 6 - Submariner

Just seen this ad on ebay...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROLEX-06-N...EAAOSw5cNYH4Un

Has to be a joke surely? Current bid £56.00 ?

Even Issue 1 - Daytona doesn't get that much

You can walk into any AD and get this for free...

Am i missing something?

Not everyone has access to an AD. If you'd like to pick one up for me I'll pay for the postage for you to send it here!

He had 2. Before the bids started I offered £15 including delivery, he agreed and sold me one for £15, I received it yesterday.he emailed last night telling me how lucky I was to get it so cheap.

Some people are afraid to walk into ADs, they are afraid they will be looked down on. Really.

I tried to get my copy from St. James RSC last week and was told they had given out all they had. They suggested I try some AD's but no luck.
I have 2-5 and was looking for no.1 for some time and I finally found and bought from a TRF member here.
Looks like I'm going to struggle to find 6

Got the same response in St James last week myself - seems very popular which is no surprise. Then managed to pick one up privately. It is possibly their best yet? Have only been able to glance through it at this point, and they seem to have steered clear of the Seadweller, so maybe a separate version due out on that at some point in the future? Hopefully they will also do the Explorer and GMT?

Went to all other ADs around Regent & Oxford street and non had any. However I managed to get one last copy yesterday at Selfidges London. I have to say it has very nice pictures and writeups about all things submariner. I can see why it's so popular :)

Wow... My AD mails it to me. I should sell it. Lol jk
I would think the issues that people can't get will cost not the one that is at the AD right now

With all the hype of the Submariner being above and beyond all of the other Rolex's, I watch in wonder why many wouldnt want this issue...

Agreed!

Why all the hoopla over Rolex Marketing dreck?

Now if you're talking about one of those plastic $1.99 ball point pens with a crown logo or a Trucker hat that says Rolex...hoo boy! Gimme, gimme!

very true but kind of ironic that the people who can afford to pay this much for a free book are probably some of the most welcome at an AD!

Finally started to read #6 issue.

The first article "A watch like me" by James Cameron is a great read for Submariner model fans. He's been wearing his (all the time) for 26 years filming, scuba diving, diving on the Titanic, black tie, and red carpet events. Truly loves the watch and what it stands for..

A long time one watch guy who can afford anything he wants I suppose.

I just picked up a copy at an AD in Los Angeles on Friday (18 November). The US ADs are just starting to receive cartons of them.

Some ADs are now hesitating in giving the magazine exactly because of people selling them on eBay.
