One and Only - 26320 SS - Black or Silver Dial?
Hello!
New to AP. I have been a purely Rolex guy for the past few years and have come to realize I really don't love that much in the collection on my wrist. Love my 114060 but that's about it. I have been thinking about getting a SS 26320 as my only watch. If it is my only watch would you recommend black or silver dial? I go back and forth on this a lot and like both. Generally I would think go black as it is more versatile, however the silver and the brushed finish make the watch versatile as well. Would love some thoughts (and pictures) to help me decide! |

If it's an only watch I would personally get the black dial I think it goes easier with everything and is much more handsome. However, I would definitely be getting the white dial roc one day since right now I have a greytheme and 2 tone gmt c but, for a daily watch and only one definitely gotta be the black or did you consider the blue!?
for me if I'd get an AP i would personally go with the Roos either the panda or the greytheme elephant it's just both formal and casual when the roc is more on the formal side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Of the two options presented, the silvered dial would be one to opt for – it’s just nicer to look at, especially in good light outside.
That said, and depending on how versatile you fancy your one watch being, I’m going to throw in a few curve balls to get you thinking a bit more. Instead of the AP, consider the outgoing Vacheron Constantin 49150 with either the white guilloché or grey sunburst dial. You can swap the bracelet for a leather or rubber strap, which you can also do with the AP, but it’s slightly more convoluted. Purchased right, you should be able to get one for a fair bit less that the AP, albeit the grey Deep Stream may need the bracelet purchased additionally, at it only came on the leather strap. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...=1753799&rid=0 http://www.watchcollectinglifestyle....o-introduction As a chronograph is the order of the day, then there are few, if any, that come better presented than the Glashutte Original Seventies’. Another big date offering, as well as power reserve and elapsed hours displayed with disc rather than the typically antiquated hands method. Gorgeous sunburst dial in silver, grey, and blue. Easily interchangeable strap options, with the bracelet having an excellent micro-adjustment mechanism. Again, if bought right, you’ll end up with more money left in your pocket, which could maybe used on a $2-3K watch for occasions when the more expensive one wouldn’t be best suited, for fear of acquiring damage. http://www.watchprosite.com/?page=wf....open_bLoB_s=0 Perhaps a bit big or bulky, but suggested nonetheless…the Girard Perregaux Chrono Hawk. Superb looking, especially on bracelet. http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...=2038210&rid=0 http://www.watchprosite.com/?page=wf....open_bLoB_s=0 Another brand I’ve been really taken by the design of, is Parmigiani Fleurier. Both the Pershing and Tonda Metrographe look stunning, in my eyes. As with the GO and GP, the PF will leave you with a fuller pocket. http://professionalwatches.com/2013/...ershing-0.html http://www.horbiter.com/en/parmigian...a-metrographe/ http://www.ablogtowatch.com/parmigia...raphe-watches/ And finally, coming back to a thinness not unlike that of the AP – Bvlgari Octo Velocissimo, and the simply stunning Quadri-Retro. Price varies depending on which model you look at, but as before, if bought right, you’ll keep more of your money for a bit of a beater watch or something else entirely. http://www.escapementmagazine.com/ar...h-review.html/ http://www.ablogtowatch.com/bulgari-...-watch-review/ http://www.watchprosite.com/?page=wf....open_bLoB_s=0 http://www.worldwatchreview.com/2011...o-chronograph/ |

I went silver dial, but if my one and only, I'd go black.

I would go with back as well. If its your only watch. I like the white dial more though in terms of looks.

Silver AP's are amazing. But as your solo piece - go black.

I opted for silver... I find it dressier than the black, which suites many of the situations I wear it in. I also find the silver dial more versatile with clothing.
when I feel sporty, I opt for my SD4K. Cheers and good luck. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
