15300 blue dial

Hi guys, I wanted to know from owners or experts something, I am interested in a 15300 blue dial from 2009.
On the many pics the shop sent me, the dial has a kind of blue purplish color, does it really have a kind of purple color or is it just the lighting which gives that effect?

Are there any issues about that particular year?

Thanks in advance for your replies

Shouldn't be purple, like an old sub, should be a grey/blue. Post some here.

No purplish, but slightly arker than 15202 dial. Great watch.

Most likely a result of poor white balance on the camera used, presuming it was left on the default ‘Auto’ setting.
That and perhaps compounded by the AR coating and the angle of the watch to the light source and shot from.

I guess it depends on the lighting, sometimes it appears matte blue:

At certain angles, the dial appears shiny:

And at times, black:

As to the movement, so far the '300 has been keeping accurate time, and has been trouble free since the time I acquired it (new) in 2013. Hope this helps.

I've owned both the 15300st blue and 15202, if memory serves me correctly, the 15300 has slightly darker blue than the jumbo, definitely no purplish effect.
I've heard some of the early made 3120 calibers were unstable, kinda like" hit and miss "thing, mine was from 2009, turns out it was running -16 secs a day, hence i had to part with it.
