Me TOO

Possibly the greatest performance in the history of the 100m.

Obviously it was because he broke the world record...............but to win with that amount of style....................

:wors hip:

Regards Mike.

I dont think that the 100m will ever be won so easily, like it was today. The amount of "ease' with which he won was just unbelievable !!

Predition : He is going to smash "the impossible" ... Johnson's 1996 WR time in the 200m fom Atlanta 1996 ...

I am not amazed by all those records anymore and by the olympic games in general

Every athlete except from few ones are getting heavily doped

The good thing is that WADA will keep records of the samples given by athletes for the following 8 years so they can keep track of who is getting doped in a much more effective way and the gap between pharmaceutical companies and the antidoping agency will shrink

Honestly guys i don't believe all these records and i am 1,000,000 % sure that this guy was heavily doped

This was not a result of normal training IMHO

If i was an athlete i would feel depressed cause i would have cheated my opponents but doping has become a lifestyle and an athletes essential for success not to mention that probably all his opponents were doped too

I know this sounds bad but this is the whole truth

The profits are huge for pharmaceutical companies but they are completely destroying the olympic ideals

Here comes captain green

Call it naive but I think he's clean.

Modern sports is now a question of science. With the technology available, the mental health training, dietary controls, dynamics of apparel, supplements given et all, it is only natural that the old records will begin to fall.

Bolt is a phenomenon, so tall with such strides, he goes against the previous small, tight compact physique thinking of previous sprinting legends.

The guy cruised it, he broke the WR earlier this year and he tested clean...no reason he can't get it to below 9.5 if he cuts the showboating.

I hope so but the record of past 100m champions is not good, Ben Johnson was a Jamacian running for his adopted country, Linford Christie (English), & Justin Gatlin, have all failed drug tests.

Oh shush you old sourpuss.

Look at football....what average guys today can do with the ball, how fast theycan run at sustained lengths...they would take apart teams of old!

Why not the same with athletics?

We have to be careful about what we say, free speech and all granted. Libel and slander are serious issues.

I think he's clean. Build type is a lot like the Man, Carl himself. Look at Johnson, literally a bull on steroids

I agree; he didn't deserve it in my opinion; he was way to cocky about it, clean or not. Very disrespectful to his opponents.

In the 200 m heats, he literally jogged across the last few metres and still won comfortably. Wonder what kind of record he's going to set in the finals?

Sorry Mireyna...I disagree.

He knew he'd won, didn't know about his timing...winning a gold so easily at this level is all about getting yourself in the history books.

Today's history books is the tabloid media (tv and papers).

The photo opp was there and he took it with both hands...who can forget M.J in his gold Nikes crossing the finish line with the record in the background and 100000 flash bulbs going pop!

Bolt is a great showman and a great athlete! The sport needs him.

Just had a conversation today with my trainer he was into track and field a lot 5 years ago

He told me that when he was studying gymnastics and was into track and field the first thing that they discussed with their trainers/lecturers were all those records. He told me and i really trust him cause he used to be a true professional track n field athlete that no human being can run 100 meters in less than 10 seconds that's 10 meters a second and it is impossible even for the best naturally trained athlete. I wanted to hear another opinion too and because today i spent my day in the hospital (Nothing serious just had my ears examined) and since my mother works there as a doctor she introduced me to some of her top fellow colleagues and they told me the same thing that only medication can force and athlete to run 100 meters in less than 10 seconds. They also started discussing that the energy that you need cannot be found in food or nutritions so you do need some chemical help in order to cope with the high energy consumption they also mentioned some really scientific stuff with numbers and chemicals that cannot be recognised but i didn't understand what they were talking about it was way too scientific for me

Bottom line is that this kind of performance cannot be achieved in a natural way if you don't believe me well then ask a chemist and some track 'n field athletes or doctors .

Vel'

Probably is chemically enhanced but there are chemicals and supplements which are not on the banned lists and therefore available to all of those participating.

Even if he was completely natural, fed on red meat and fruit and berries etc, why can't we be pleased that a guy can break through boundaries set by others.

If we followed the advice of "professionals", man would get nowhere!

i have to disagree here. i think that many of the runners (not all) do run under 10 seconds do it without cheating.. how can a doctor produce any analysis and results to say that it is not physically possible without chemicals? i have seen guys in indonesia hold there breath under water for over 15 mins- no tank ,no air - nothing. ask a doctor if that is physically possible?
people can recondition there bodies to break certain barriers.

"Bolt" did disclose to media hounds what his secret strategy was taking the 100M so convincingly. It was double rounds of Chicken McNuggets prior to the race! Well, it is good protein isn't it???

It's going to be interesting to see what he can do in the upcoming 200M finals, supposedly his more 'natural' event, given his 6'5" frame and long length. Personally, I'm looking forward to the 4X100m relay -one of the most exciting team events to view. Regardless, whether men or women, those Jamacans are super quick for sure!
