AP & Michael Connelly's New Novel

I just read the new Michael Connelly book The Crossing, which contains both Harry Bosch and The Lincoln Lawyer Mick Haller. Spoiler Alert:

-----------------------------------------------------------------
AP plays a major role in the engrossing novel. Mentioned numerous times.

Yeah, I kinda do want one if I could find a 39 or 40mm to fit my puny wrist. The AP in the book is a ROO.

Connelly must like the brand to use it in a major way as he did.

Have you seen the 39mm chronos? They are beautiful! They would be a great complement to your platty Daytona (always happy to enable) ... Random internet pics below:

They don't make the 39mm ROC anymore, they're 41mm now. They're many preowned out there though. The Jumbo, 15202, is 39mm and in the current lineup.

What role did the APs play, did they go towards character, atmoshpere or plot?

Plot. Partial Spoiler. The AP was a Royal Oak Offshore owned by a murder victim. When she cracked the crystal, her efforts at getting the watch repaired started a chain of events that led to her death.

I just finished reading the novel, so I had to check here for a discussion thread. The book is one of the better ones in the Harry Bosch series.
