Whats wrong with it, is that it's not a Rolex. Its a bad copy, too.

Why? No where does he state "Rolex." He also states Yachtmaster "style" watch which is a sure indication it is a knock off. I suppose because the face has "Rolex" on it they might have an issue with it.

That "crown" is the only selling point in that auction, therefore he is using it to his advantage, i.e. infringing on their copyrighted image... With that being said, I don't think he is trying to scam anyone. He is just trying to avoid getting booted.

It is still a violation of Rolex copyright laws to sell or attempt to sell a replica, fake, knock-off watch that has Rolex written or implied in the sale. This guy is attempting to have you believe it is a Rolex as it does have it on the dial.

The date magnification was wrong(too small) . The crown appeared to be too large. And the solid end links stuck out too much, and did not match the band. It looked like a pretty good fake, but I didn't analyze it too much since the description said it all.Although the guy never said Rolex, he was implying what it was, and clearly showed pics of a fake watch.

Sorry I missed this to respond to you. The watch had a; "Buy It Now" feature only as the means of purchase. It was listed at $495.00 and, therefore, could not have been real. The other gentleman's description of the obvious flaws were right on the money as well. It was a pretty decent looking fake to the untrained eye. Scary.
