True in case of the first generation of Polo -i like those very much-but the later updates are just wrong to my taste ,but as you know De gustibus......

Isn't Piaget the maker with the thinnest automatic movement in the world? I've always found them to be an innovative and quality watch company. Perhaps the whole Quartz period is still sticking to them but they do make a quality product. Insofar as the "user manual" printed on the dial, it's hardly more instruction then many coveted ALS examples.

It's a big price for an SS watch but they're all big prices for SS watches (particularly when you're talking the new Daytona).
I own the Speedmaster and a 15400. The Speedmaster is my every day watch and, in my opinion, still the best bang for the buck lux watch. However, if I had to give up all the watches in my collection to keep the 15400, which I wouldn't wear every day, I would. It's just that nice IMHO. |

I too am waiting for the 116500, but I also already own a 116520. I've tried on the AP ROC but didn't like the position of the date window. In my impatience for the 116500, I bought a 15400 and really adore it. So my suggestion is to get a 15400 and add a speedmaster. You'll still have money left over instead of getting the ROC. Then if the 116500 comes along, you'll have a great collection.

One is mine and the other is a very nice alternative.
I love my WG Daytona slate face but the Vacheron is also very handsome with date!
