Rolex Viceroy & Bubbleback question
Hi all. I have the opportunity to buy 2 bubbleback and one Viceroy Rolexes. Any thoughts on these? Anything particularly noteworthy about them or are they kind of run of the mill examples?
Thanks! |

The dials on both steel models are redone. Poorly.
Cases look overpolished as well. So unless extremely cheap, I would not buy them. If the same person owns the gold model I would probably stay clear as well. Hands look relumed or replaced, hard to tell much else. |

Not what most think would think of when you say "Rolex Viceroy". That's usually a tonneau shaped case with a flat front and angles. All dials appear poorly redone. I'd consider buying these three as a group for around $600-800 US. Many, many risks, restoration to be done, ordinary examples as result.

Thanks all. Yeah, the dials looked wonky to me too. The prices she was asking were insane too (pretty much what each would command in perfect shape). Oh well, that's why I ask you fellas before I buy! :)
