116619 vs 116618lb
Personally I am going with the 116618lb this time around. Earlier this year I owned the 116719blro. I decided that white gold was a little too bling at work (pcls) and a little too understated in the evening. So i decided to go with a Tudor for work and some yellow gold in the evening. The Tudor should be here Monday and the 116618lb in February (has to be ordered in). Feel free to post any 116618 pics to help make the wait easier .
I am curious, if you were to choose between yellow and white gold sub which would you pick? Do we have more yellow gold or white gold fans on TRF? Hope everyone is having a good weekend Josh |

Have been a 619 fan, but it looks too anemic compared to the 618, so I'll go 618.

In most cases I prefer white gold, but this is not one. The 618lb is gorgeous

Just me, but I'd go for the DayDate in yellow gold over either of these two choices.

WG for me. I do really like the Sunburst Dial and had it on my TT, which is now gone.

From those two I would go WG, but if it was the black face/bezel YG option, then it become a very difficult decision.

Between these two, I would go yellow. However, if I were going to do an all gold sports watch my first pick would likely be the GMT with green anniversary dial.

Think I'll go yellow.. But with white, I can wear it a lot more like a SS watch.

Love yellow gold but prefer the flat dial on the smurf. I know they made a flat dial yg sub version. But there a little harder to find.

I had the 116619 as I wanted an all gold piece without the in your face look. I love the 116619 for that. But about six months later, the love of gold and its weight got me thinking about a full yellow gold. So I bought the 116618 and love it just as much. Both amazing pieces, that I use often depending on the mood. Tough choice. Have fun with it.

Both are stunning, but I feel the WG suits a submariner batter than YG.

I actually don't care for the smurf that much, but mainly because its one of the only white gold watches that really looks no different than a standard stainless to me with brushed PCLS (can't describe why I don't feel this way about a WG daytona)...so if you're going to go for it, going for the yellow in this (and maybe only this case) is the way to go. I like the blue dial for this application...just seems richer to me (as in of quality and style, not in $$$ appearance)
