Every watch wears different. It is also your wrist size and shape which determines the comfort of the watch. I have small 6 1/2 inch wrist. And personally, the flatter case back of the GMT fits me better and wears more comfortably. I tried on the SD4K and depth rating of the watch makes the case back that little bit more pronounced. Therefore it is the GMT IIc for me. There is no wrong answer here as the watches fit everyone differently.

I'm truly content with my sd4000. It's the best ss model imho. LOVE IT!

The 116600 is one of the watches that gets the most praise from its owners. And I know why. Solid, rugged, classic semi-matte dial, yet comfortable.

If I could have both, I would. But that's not an option.

Now the question for those of you who own a 116600;

Have the SD 4000 ever bored you? Or is it really just a keeper as many of you mentions?

In my case it's kind of a conservative move based on my colorful and versatile collection through the years and thereof my only concern regarding my new purchase.

I would love to hear your thoughts and see pictures of your SD 4000.

That's it. My first post on Rolex Forums. Thank you very much for such a great database of qualified knowledge on our common interest

No waaaaaay, the GMT is much much more refined for the world business man. The SD4K? Not so refined, just a tool watch. Oh well.

Had a SD4K but flipped due to the way it wears on the wrist. The case back is really tall causing the watch head to flop about. Love everything about it in pictures but couldn't get comfortable with it.

Have a GMTiiC and it is supremely comfy due to the lower profile case back.

That's just my opinion- enjoy your new watch.

yes GMTll C for me as well... Has the SD4k and love the weight and matt dial, and it's rugged but classy look but it was top heavy for me. I guess If I had more fatty wrists it wouldn't be a problem. I have bony wrist, so the case back would kinda set high on top of my wrist. Once, I went GMTllC and it's lower profile, I was soo very content with the way it sits flat on my wrist, and therefore offers a bit more comfort. Once you turn 50 it's all about the comfort...lol

I had the sd4k before I got the BLNR. I am wearing the BLNR most of the time and the SD is in the safe. The all black is just too blend in comparison to the BLNR.

If I could, I would have sold the SD4K since it is not interesting to me anymore. But it was a gift from my wife so I have to keep it.

I love the lugs on the SD4K... much more so than the typical 114060 Submariner. No "boxy" look, love it !

My experience exactly. I have owned sdc, gmt c black and sub c date. I now have just the sub c date. In the end preferred it aesthetically and found it more comfortable than the sdc. I may add BLNR.

Between these three great time pieces it is personal taste.
