Just dropped my brand new Lange..

It literally just slipped from my wrist and fell on the floor..

I don't see any crack or other malfunctions, but do I still need to get it checked? I still have the warranty so was not sure whether I should get it checked or not. Thanks!

Id wait a few day's. If anything malfunctions then send it in. Id leave out the dropping it part as well as that might void warranty work.

What did it fall on? If you don't see any physical damage wear and enjoy. Monitor how it's keeping time.

When I dropped my DateJust from chest high to a concrete sidewalk. I took it in for a check-up and the watchmaker took it from me, shook it a couple of times. and said that it was okay.

I asked how he could be sure and he said that if anything was wrong with it he'd be able to hear it.

I got it regulated a few months later under warranty and it's kept on ticking away.

Sorry to hear but sounds like you may have dodged a bullet.

If it makes you feel any better I once nearly dropped a platinum datograph up/down in the NYC Lange boutique. Their modern furniture had me strapping it on while not over the table and the weight slipped from my hands before I could get it buckled. I last minute slapped it against my knee and pinned it before it hit the floor. Phewwww

All platinum Langes should come on a deployant

OP, like others have said, track its accuracy and check for any malfunctions over a few days, if nothing stands out you're fine.

I once dropped a 36mm DayDate, very embarrassing when you're supposed to fix them... The drop was over a meter onto a hard floor and there was no sign of any damage outside and inside.

Agreed, fortunately this one does come with a deployant, and I didn't drop it

Did it slip from your hands or was there some sort of a malfunction with the spring bars; buckle or strap? As others have mentioned, monitor it for the next few days for any abnormalities.

I have a problem with taking my watches off and putting them on my lap wheN I take a nap. Then I wake up and stand up and the always fall or fly across the room when I wake up. I thought id have lost lume plots or some malfunction by now but going strlng after 4 years of ownership. Probably due for a service now though

Long story short my TT GMT fell on a tile floor when I was in Hawaii a few years go. First day of the trip of course. Other than taking a huge chunk out of the case it was fine. Tile floors are a major Rolex enemy!
